[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA TALKS 'VOICE' REST, 'LOTUS' TOUR + FRANK OCEAN

Christina Aguilera sees her upcoming breather from NBC's hit "The Voice" as an opportune time to spend time with family, reconnect with fans and, she says, play some tour dates in support of her new album "Lotus."

"It's very interesting, because it won't really in time be that much of a break," she told Billboard's Bill Werde (@ bwerde) backstage at last week's Film & TV Music Conference. "It'll barely allow me to sort of get back to my fans, maybe see them on the road, have some tour dates possibly."

She added that she's hoping "throw in a vacation" as a well during that time and be "able to have a moment to myself which is so important, and for my family, my son."

[NEWS] REPS FOR CHRISTINA & BRITNEY DENY ANY INVOLVEMENT WITH MADONNA'S 'MDNA TOUR'

Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera are set to “make cameos” on Madonna’s MDNA tour, claims The Hollywood Reporter.

The site says the pop trio, who famously locked lips during a racy performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003, “could very well” reunite onstage when Madonna’s tour hits Los Angeles this fall.

THR reports, “According to the Twitter feed for the singer’s latest album, MDMA, Aguilera will appear at Madonna’s concerts in Los Angeles on Oct. 10 and 11 for a ‘special performance,’ while Spears will ‘attend’ the show on the 10th.”

However, as exciting as it would be to see the three stars perform together again, a reunion is not in the cards just yet.

A rep for Madonna tells Gossip Cop it’s “not true” that Aguilera or Spears will join her onstage during her tour, explaining that the MDNA Twitter account which started the rumor is “a fake.”

And reps for Spears and Aguilera both tell us that the reunion report is FALSE.

[NEWS] 'THE VOICE' FINALISTS ANNOUNCE SUMMER TOUR BUT WILL NOT FEATURE THE STAR COACHES

The eight finalists on NBC’s singing competition series “The Voice” will tour together this summer, Billboard reported Tuesday.

Beverly McClellan, Vicci Martinez, Dia Frampton, Javier Colon, Nakia, Xenia, Casey Weston and Frenchie Davis will all perform on the tour. No dates or venues have been announced yet.

The show’s four singing-star coaches — Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine — will not be part of the tour. Sources told Billboard that tour organizers tried to convince the stars to join the tour alongside the contestants, but were unable to come to an agreement on compensation.

On “The Voice,” the four coaches can claim contestants they like as students, mentor them and then pit their teams of students against each other. Shelton tweeted Monday that he felt “like a proud papa” after learning that his “Voice” proteges Frampton and Xenia were going on the tour. “Show ‘em love!” he wrote.

Levine, who mentors Colon and Weston, tweeted, “LevineTeam members @Javstwtr and @casey_weston are hitting the road in July for #TheVoice Live on Tour. Go check them out. You can thank me later.”

While they are not joining the tour, the four “Voice” coaches will team up to perform the Rolling Stones’ hit “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” on Tuesday night’s live episode, NBC announced in a press release.

[NEWS] DOES XTINA'S NEW ALBUM 'BIONIC' MARK HER AS THIS GENERATION'S ANSWER TO CHER?

Christina Aguilera (r.) appears to be this generation's answer to Cher (l.), particularly when it comes to her sense of style and her music, including new album, "Bionic."

She favors the freaky in fashion, the nerdy in men and the bombastic in music. No wonder, as time goes by, Christina Aguilera keeps looking more and more like this generation’s answer to Cher.

This week she even endured a vintage Cher-like bit of critical drubbing. She postponed her new tour - due to poor ticket sales, they say. Aguilera insists she just needs more time to prep the full-on show she wants to give, which will come next year.

In the meantime, she's got a new movie in the can, "Burlesque," in which she stars opposite - you guessed it - Ms. Cher-tastic herself.
She also has a new album to promote, "Bionic," arriving June 8, graced by a cover that depicts her as half-woman, half-machine. Could this be her space-age answer to Cher's beloved half-breed incarnation of yore?

The singer will hype her new look and sound on the MTV Movie Awards June 6, then host her own installment of VH1's "Storytellers" on the 13th. The new wonder-woman, robot/goddess persona she'll rock at all these events isn't just a whim. It makes genuine sense for her - on more than one level. The balance she has lately struck in her life openly courts the superhuman.

"Bionic" caps a personal and public campaign by Christina to bring the classic feminist insistence, "you can have it all," to screaming life (aided, no doubt, by all the nannies that platinum records can buy). "Bionic" represents Christina's first release since giving birth to Max Liron Bratman on Jan. 12, 2008. She had him with husband Jordan Bratman, a music marketing executive who can be seen as her Sonny. By all accounts, he's a similarly levelheaded business guy, the furthest thing from a boy toy - like, for example, Britney Spears' ex Kevin Federline.

Indeed, the contrast between the two singing icons (once seen as rivals) in how they run their careers clearly shows who has more focus and drive. While other child-to-adult stars have strained under the pressures of that transition, Christina seems to have surfed it with ease. The tangential "outrage" and "controversy" necessary to keep her in headlines haven't come through scandals, but courtesy of carefully managed photo shoots and the occasional catfight.

While Mariah Carey, Pink and Kelly Osbourne have mixed it up with her in the press, none has drawn blood or reflected too poorly on Aguilera herself. (In fact, the Osbournes wound up selling Christina their old Beverly Hills house, where she now resides.)

Taking another page from Cher, Christina has found that her genius for ugly clothing can be richly rewarded in ink and camera time - even if that has led to multiple mentions on the late Mr. Blackwell's Worst Dressed List. (Naturally, Christina shares that perverse point of pride with the "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" artist herself.)

In Aguilera's case, think of her styles in the "Dirrty" video, which ranked as a skankfest of historic proportions. Add her intermittent love of kinky/fried hair and lacquered-on makeup, and even John Waters' "ugly experts" would have trouble doing a makeover as grotesquely comic.

Still, no matter what scandalous shmattes and horrific hairstyles she sports, Aguilera has never fooled with her most enduring asset: her rockin' (now bionic) bod. Less than two years after giving birth, the star has reemerged with a fitter figure than ever, a feat she made sure nobody missed by posing, birthday suit-style, for the cover of German GQ.

As she explained to an Atlanta radio show: "When you have a baby, you go through a period where your body is not your own. It becomes for your child and that's it. Once you bounce back from that and kind of get your body back ... I feel better than ever."

She also sounds better than ever, which tips off her other "Bionic" quality: that voice. While you can criticize Christina for the way she uses her instrument - how recklessly and egotistically she can throw it around - there's no denying its blunt and powerful thwack. At 29, she clearly owns the biggest voice of the under-30 generation.

She's even making moves on the over-30 set, with Whitney down for the count and Mariah having fallen off her commercial game. Were Aguilera to cut an "Enough Is Enough"-style female diva-off today (à la Donna Summer and Barbra Streisand in the '70s), only Celine Dion would have the pipes to go up against her.

The way Christina uses her pile-driving talent on the new album guarantees she'll get a fresh rush of attention. Like the electro gimmick that relaunched Cher on the smash "Believe," Christina has allowed her voice to be treated, or at least surrounded, by lots of futuristic effects on the new CD. To help her do so, she partnered with avant stars like M.I.A., Peaches, Santigold and Le Tigre.

The heavy use of electronics, and the switch to dance music, on the new CD have already inspired Web sniping, with accusations that she's riding the long coattails of Lady Gaga. (Hey, Ke$ha has done it, to great commercial effect.) Aguilera will have none of it.

"That, in particular, is not even worth wasting the breath to comment on," the singer has said. "I've been around for over a decade. I think my work speaks for itself."

By most accounts, Aguilera's new sound isn't quite like the neo-'80s new wave dance-pop of Gaga. It's meant to be a broader take on the style. More, Christina has impressed fans by continuing to change her sound throughout her career. Not one of her four albums repeats the style of another. And, while Gaga goes for "art" with her look, Aguilera leans far closer to camp, just like the original babe of "I Got You Babe."

For the upcoming "Burlesque" flick, Cher plays the owner, and headliner, of the club where Christina appears. It's directed and written by Steve Antin, brother of the chick who started the Pussycat Dolls, which means he knows a thing or two about trashy dancing. With any luck, the pairing of the two stars will have an "All About Eve"/mother-daughter frisson of rivalry and rapport, making the connection between them more obvious than ever.

Given all this, can it be very long before we no longer even recognize Aguilera by her second name? At this rate, don't be surprised if she soon enters that rare, Cher-like company of stars so intimately known, they require just a first.

[INTERACTIVE] A FAN'S DREAM COME TRUE

What does each and every single one of us, Christina fans, dream we can do?
I think it's getting a chance to meet her and exchange a few words with her. Yes?
Last year that dream became a reality to me... TWICE!

The FIRST time: February 5, 2008 [DVD signing]

I can't even begin to explain what was going through my head when we were told that Christina had just arrived at BESTBUY for the signing of her BACK to BASICS: Live and Down Under tour DVD.

Having stayed in line for about 10 hours straight, from 9am to 7pm, didn't faze any of us. The thought of just getting those few seconds with her made the wait so much more worth it.

Walking up to her was Surreal.

We all know that Christina is gorgeous but I can honestly say that pictures don't do her justice. She is by far one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. (I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan), and her boobs were ENORMOUS (Lucky Jordan). As I walked up to her there were a millions things that I wanted to say to her but when it came down to it all I said was "Thank you Christina for everything you do. I love you." Then she said, "Aww no thank you and I love you too." Hearing her say that to me just melted me and walking away from her my eyes started to water. I couldn't believe that CHRISTINA AGUILERA herself just told me that she loved me.

I kept repeating those word over and over in my head that entire night.

The SECOND time: December 6, 2008 [Fragrance signing]

Before my second encounter with Christina, I had promised myself that I wasn't going to freeze up, and that I was going to tell her everything that I wanted to tell her the first time we met but didn't.

But before I left my house that afternoon I thought things through and decided that it would be much easier for me to write her a letter just in case I froze up again like I did the first time.

So, I wrote her a letter spilling my heart out. What I told her in the letter was how her music had helped me out of some of the most darkest moments in my life. I used to be a cutter and didn't know how to deal with the pain that I was hiding up inside me, that instead of dealing with my psychological pain I would much rather deal with physical pain for that moment. So, I would take anything that would cut skin and cut my arms and thighs, but the one and only person that really helped me through this even though that person was unaware of it was Christina. So, I thanked her in the letter for literally Saving me from myself.

I arrived a bit early and decided to walk around with a friend that I had met up with there.

We headed back to Macy's to start lining up.

We were in line for about 2 hours.

Christina had arrived about 15 mins late. When she arrived everyone started going crazy. The paparazzi were screaming and yelling the fans were screaming and yelling. So you can only imagine how loud it got.

I went up to her and once again I didn't tell her anything of what I wanted to say but "Christina you're such an inspiration." I had asked her for a hug and she looked around and said that she couldn't but instead she grabbed my arm and my hand and squeezed it.

I didn't wash my hand for an entire week.
Ok, I washed it that night but still I wish I hadn't.

I was actually looking for a picture of me and her since there were so many paparazzi taking pictures of her while her first like 20 fans went up to meet her, and I was within those 20 fans.
But couldn't find one single picture of me and her. :(

But a fellow Christina fan informed me that there had been a video on line from that afternoon, and he told me that I had been recorded while I was up there with Christina.

Here is the video.
[SMART-PHONE FRIENDLY]

I come out for 4 complete seconds.
00:18 to 00:22 seconds
You can even see her grab my arm and my hand.

Has anyone met Christina before?
If so, how was your experience?
If not, what do you think you'd do if you ever got the chance to?
What would you say, or what wouldn't you say?

Feel free to ask me anything.
Through comment or email or chat box.

[SITE] UNION & DOCUMENTARY

I was walking up the stairs painfully (I’m sore from working out) and I thought to myself. We need to have a “Christinas Blog Spot Union”

Which would consist of:

1. Karlos, Joel, Josh and Aiden (myself) to meet in person for the first time in ONE CITY, and go to ONE SHOW. Not just any show, but the OPENING SHOW of the New Christina Aguilera Worldwide Tour!

2. BACKSTAGE PASSES TO MEET CHRISTINA!

3. WE WOULD HAVE TO DO A VIDEO DOCUMENTARY OF THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE & JOURNEY. SO THAT WE CAN KEEP CHRISTINA FANS UP TO DATE ON EVERYTHING…

If you guys (the bloggers) think this is something we could do, and if the other fans would like to see us do this, let us know. We could probably bring back an exclusive interview with Christina herself.

[SITE] AIDEN VALENCIANO FOR XTINA!

Hello X-tina Lovers!

I want to introduce myself, I’m Aiden Valenciano, and I want to welcome you to “Christina’s BloG Spot” I along with Karlos, Joel & Josh will be giving you my honest opinion on what I think our Dirrty girl is doing. I am bilingual and will also be posting some blogs in Spanish. I look Forward to Hearing your thoughts and comments.

So Right now we don’t know much about what X-tina is Doing. But what I can say is that she is working on Something Great. With the new movie “Burlesque” about to start filming in November, she is probably preparing herself for the role (learning her lines etc...) She is probably taking classes to learn how to be a burlesque dancer, not everyone is born burlesque, she is probably also working out a lot. No junk food for her. Along with the New Album rumored to be released in November, you can also say that she is probably doing photo shoots for the album, planning the TOUR! Since it does take a more than year to plan a tour. She is going to come back with a BANG! It's going to blow everyone away. I personally don’t like the rumored album title “Light & Darkness,” it has no creativity like “Stripped” & “Back To Basics” those album titles were meaningful and full of creativity. Now don’t forget Christina is supposed to make a cameo appearance in “Get him to the Greek” which has just finished filming and will be released in April 2010. So stay tuned for the Movie Trailer that should be released within a month or so…PROJECT RUNWAY starts on August 20th, and as well Christina Aguilera Will be a guest judge this season. So watch the show and look for Christina. She’s going to be everywhere soon! Get Ready!
