Christina Aguilera (Xtina) is set to make an appearance on The Ellen Show in the next few weeks. Speculation of new music has been surrounding Christina for the past few of months, but it wasn't until recently that an uproar began when a secret performance (taped for "The Voice") had been promoted to be top secret performance that "every Christina Aguilera fan" would enjoy. Naturally, as fans, we hoped for new material since the last time we got new music was 4 years ago ("Lotus").
Most of you know @TheChristinaVIP, he was the first to inform us that she would be making an appearance on Ellen via twitter (April 6, 2016):
📺: @Xtina will be making an appearance on one of our favorite day time talk shows in the near future. More details to come soon.
Hmm... this could be interesting. We are all aware of the relationship Christina and Pink have had over the years, so it was extremely surprising to see that Pink would be advising all teams this upcoming week on the The Voice: Semi-Finals.
Initially, as most of you did, I automatically thought about the shade both artists, especially Pink, who had been throwing at Christina anywhere she could (Interviews, tv specials, as well as tours). For those of you that are not aware, this "beef" started way back in 2001 when Ron Fair entered the "Lady Marmalade" meetings and requested Christina receive the biggest part, vocally. Which didn't sit well with Pink. In addition, Christina penned Linda Perry, who had previously worked on Pink's "Missundaztood", to help her produce and co-write tracks for "Stripped", which has become a favorite among fans and non-fans alike, Pink decided to cut ties with Perry, as well as increase her dislike for our girl.
More than 10 years have passed since this all went down. Both women are now mothers and legends in their own right. The Voice just released a sneak peek at Pink's mentoring skills.
It looks like Xtina and the gang are rehearsing for her big performance in Malaysia.
From the looks of the photo that Xtina's bestie, Jeri Slaughter, tweeted it looks like the choreography is going to be FIERCE!
We cannot wait for all the videos that will be posted during/after the concert. For those that are going ENJOY YOURSELVES. Represent all the other fighters that aren't able to make it.
Christina Aguilera had a very romantic — and very sparkly — Valentine’s Day, when her love of three years, film producer Matt Rutler, proposed in Hawaii with an enormous, elaborate engagement ring, a photo of which Aguilera shared on Twitter Friday. “He asked and I said … ” she wrote, letting the sparkler do the talking for her.
But this was no spur-of-the-moment proposal. According to a source, Rutler has been designing the ring for quite some time, carefully choosing each stone to represent different facets of his relationship with Aguilera.
“Matt spent over a year designing the ring with the ring designer to represent their three-year journey together as a couple,”
the source says.
“He has been planning this for a while and was just waiting for the right time — the ring has been done for months. Every single placement of each stone has a reason and meaning.”
For example:
“The actual band weaves and intertwines [the] diamonds. Every connecting criss-cross symbolizes how their paths crossed … the ring narrows at the base [to] reflect how their bond continues to grow closer and stronger over time,”
the source says, adding that some of the most special features of the ring aren’t visible to others.
“There are nine special multi-color gemstones that you cannot see. They all symbolize something meaningful to the couple. Christina is very spiritual and having the stones touch her actual skin will emit positive energies surrounding her at all times. They represent things like love, protection and healing.”
As for the unique, vintage-feeling setting of the ring? Rutler was inspired by pieces he knew Aguilera already adored.
“He took two of Christina’s favorite rings … to design something that incorporated [both designs] into one,”
the source says.
“Similar to both their lives coming together as one.”
Sorry, Not Sorry: Bionic - @xtina had some joints! Hadn't listened to it for a while but It randomly popped up on my iTunes 2day. Still proud of my work on here. *shrug* #nowplaying: Desnudate
and then commented:
If u go back n listen to "Woohoo" there's no reason it shouldn't have worked. Maybe it was ahead of its time? Cuz if Miley dropped it right now with Nicki it would blaze on radio.
Season 5 Live Shows have begun and we wanted to start the night off with
some fun and glitz. I had such a great time performing with FloRida. We
wanted to put a modern twist on the Gatsby era and I love what we did
to achieve that. To balance that we wanted the chair look to be simple,
modern and elegant. Xoxo - Christina #TheVoice #TeamXtina #FirstPost!
Not only are we getting to see Christina perform 'Say Something' with 'A Great Big World' on Tuesday nights episode of 'The Voice', but now we can also expect to see her perform on Monday nights episode with hit maker Flo Rida.
My body wasn't ready for this announcement. I'm totally freaking out. We get to see Christina perform two completely different genres of music next week!
It looks like the dancers are hard at work rehearsing their choreography for Monday nights performance! Check out the picture Gilbert Saldivar (dancer) instagram'd earlier today...
Tune in Monday Night to @NBCTheVoice @Slaughteration
