[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA GOES 'CAVIAR RATCHET' WITH DA INTERNZ

Christina Aguilera is getting ratchet with the help of platinum hitmakers Da Internz. 

The Chicago production duo behind Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” and Big Sean’s “Dance (A$$)” have been cooking up a new genre of music for the pop diva’s upcoming album. 

“The best way I could describe it is called that gourmet ratchet,” Kosine, one half of Da Internz, told Rap-Up TV. “It’s upper echelon music with ratchet hood drums and…caviar ratchet.” 

“We’re serving it on gold platters, 14K,” added Tuo. “You wanna know what Christina’s music sounds like? 14K caviar ratchet, serving with three fingertips." 

“It’s just really cool because we’re not doing nothing different. We’re not changing, we’re Da Internz,” said Kosine. “We’re doing what we think is affordable healthcare in the music industry and for people to buy into the sounds is just really, really exciting. Shout out to Christina Aguilera and her camp.” 

Christina’s new album, the follow-up to 2012’s Lotus, is due later this year.

On output, Rihanna avoided being photographed dentor car while Aguilera just ignored the presence of the paparazzi. The two are in the process of producing a new album

 Apparently, Christina went out for dinner last night in West Hollywood with Matt.

There were plenty of fans waiting for her outside the Katsuya Hollywood among the paparazzis.
As Christina left the restaurant, she jumped into the car and took a time to answer and sign to her fans.

According to some of them, she said that THE NEW ALBUM IS SOMETHING THAT SHE HAS NEVER DONE BEFORE, COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND SHE’S REALLY FOCUSED ON IT.

 She didn’t say the name of her baby girl (perhaps because of the paparazzis who were around) but she stated that she’s so excited about it so I guess she’ll pop at anytime from now on. Source : xtina-web.com

What else is cooking?

I just did a record with Ed Sheeran. We did some cool stuff – we were just experimenting in the studio, but it came out really good – so we got that going… I'm getting into the pop world again. I've started working with a group called Rizzle Kicks, who are very popular overseas – we did some cool stuff – and then I'm starting to work on Christina Aguilera's new stuff.

I was actually going to ask if you'd like to do more pop, as you didn't do much after Back To Basics.
I consider myself a producer, period. I'm not just a hip hop producer – I'm a producer. It doesn't matter what you bring to me, I'm gonna apply my tastes and passion for music to it – but most of it comes from me being a DJ. The fact that I DJ, that's really where I get the best focus on how to do things, because I'm very deep-rooted in being raised on music – before rap was even in existence. Because of that, I've always been up for any challenge – or what anybody ever brings me. So when Christina approached me about working on Back To Basics, I was immediately excited about doing it because I want to show that I'm beyond hip hop – even though I'll apply a hip hop flavour to it because that's what made me my name.

What was that experience like?

She let me just do me. She didn't really give me a lot of instructions. She just pretty much told me what she was looking for. And then some of it was just experimentation. She would go, ‘Ooh, I like that, lay that down’ – and I'd play it. TheThank You record, I was playing around with a friend of mine's daughter, showing her how to scratch on the turntable. She started cutting the beat on time and I said, ‘Yo, keep that going’ – and I got on a keyboard. Christina happened to walk in and go, ‘What is that?’ I'm like, ‘Oh, we're just playing around’. She goes, ‘I like that, lay it down!’ – and we put it on tape [laughs].

[RUMOR] CHRISTINA AGUILERA TEAMS UP WITH IGGY AZALEA FOR NEW SONG?

Word on the street is that Christina Aguilera has teamed up with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea for her new "killer" single.

According to AceShowbiz, "With there being some speculation about Christina working with Azalea for quite some time, a source now confirms the duo has been hitting the recording booth together."

The site then adds, "the track is rumored to be recorded for Christina's next studio installment, and the pop singer is said to be excited at the prospect of releasing the track as a single. She is said to be hard at work on her new album, shortly before the premier of the fifth season of The Voice, where she's a judge/mentor on the panel to contestants.

The source also claims there's a lot of pressure for Christina to deliver an album that sells like her previous releases, blowing competition out of the water.

[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA REFOCUSES ON HER OWN VOICE IN 'LOTUS'

It’s been six years since Christina Aguilera made a record that would remind us why she was a perfect choice for a show called “The Voice.” For better and for worse, the NBC singing competition is what the former Mouseketeer is best known for now. Bubbling over with memorable melodies, throbbing dance grooves, and dynamic vocals, her new album, “Lotus,” is a good start in the effort to refocus attention on Aguilera’s skills and scrub our memories of 2010’s disastrous “Bionic.”

Aside from the hokey title track, it is front-loaded with goodies, including the Gloria Gaynor-meets-Depeche Mode dance of anger that is “Army of Me,” the kooky horn-and-yodel fest “Red Hot Kinda Love,” and the impossible-to-resist exhortation to “Make the World Move.” The piano ballad “Blank Page,” co-written by Aguilera, Australian singer-songwriter Sia, and Chris Braide, is among the best performances Aguilera has ever put to tape. Two of her fellow “Voice” coaches pitch in elsewhere, with Cee Lo Green helping turn up the love on “Make the World Move” and Blake Shelton helping turn down the lights on the country-inflected closer, “Just a Fool.”

There are missteps, including needless Auto-tune and a few of what sound like Rihanna or Katy Perry leftovers. And there are several tracks that sound mindlessly repetitive as sedentary listening experiences but will likely improve with the addition of a dancefloor, including the Max Martin-Shellback produced “Let There Be Love.” Welcome back, Xtina. Christina Aguilera's latest album may be called "Lotus," but "Soldier" might have been an equally apt title.

With song titles like "Army Of Me" and "Cease Fire," military drums serving as percussion for tracks like "Around The World" and "Best Of Me," rampant references to being a fighter and plenty of ammo for her haters, Aguilera is on the warpath for reclaiming her pop stardom. And rightfully so, after a rough 2010 that saw her album "Bionic" flop and the cancellation of its accompanying tour; a divorce from husband Jordan Bratman; and the disappointment of her movie "Burlesque" and its Aguilera-heavy soundtrack. But after rebounding as a coach on "The Voice" and scoring her first No. 1 hit in a decade with the Maroon 5 duet "Moves Like Jagger," the stage has been set for a comeback.

As evidenced by lead single "Your Body," her first collaboration with Max Martin, Aguilera is back with guns blazing on "Lotus," a bright, shiny, and loud pop album that also features contributions from Alex da Kid (Rihanna, Eminem), Sia and Lucas Secon, as well as guest appearances from fellow "Voice" coaches Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton. The album finds Aguilera trying out piano ballads to club-ready dance pop to country to 90s rock, all with the subtlety of a chainsaw. It's full-throttle Aguilera as her fans want to hear, bringing her voice front and center where it was often muted on "Bionic." No note is left un-belted, no metaphor goes un-exhausted, and few verses feature just one Aguilera singing when three or four would be better. And yet, "Lotus" largely benefits from all the bombast - Aguilera hasn't sounded so fun and energized in years.

Two years may not be the longest window of time. Yet, in the career of superstar Christina Aguilera the last 730 days have brought with them a series of challenges. For many, the most notable of these is the under-performance of  ‘Bionic’ – her ill-fated 2010 LP. Received well critically, the set struggled to ignite the charts in the manner Aguilera’s past releases had, quickly fading into Pop abyss.

Fast-forward to today and the climate looks altogether brighter for the self-branded ‘Fighter’. A rejuvenating stint on NBC’s The Voice has seen “Brand Xtina” back in business, clearing the commercial freeway for the 31 year old’s “comeback”.

Christened ‘Lotus’, the singer’s 5th studio outing is immediately noteworthy in that, despite boasting a loose narrative of “freedom” and ‘self-expression’, it’s the first of Aguilera’s post-teen-queen releases not tied to an overt “theme”. A fact that re-affirms her position as one of Pop’s most renown risk-takers. For, not only has the length and breadth of her success come from concept records, we’re in an era where top ten tallies often sound like the same song with different lyrics.
