[NEWS] PREGNANT CHRISTINA AGUILERA LOOKS READY TO POP

The "Dirrty" singer stepped out in Studio City, Calif., Saturday with her fiancé, Matthew Rutler, and her son, Max Bratman. Aguilera, 33, dressed her big baby bump in a black maxi dress and a DKNY crop top.

The trio enjoyed an afternoon of mini golfing, and at one point, Aguilera's son adorably rubbed her belly.

Aguilera isn't letting her pregnancy slow her down; the next day, the group visited a theme park. "Such a beautiful day with the family at #UniversalStudios!" she tweeted. "Thanks so much for the hospitality!"

(The family toured the Hollywood location—but perhaps sometime after Aguilera gives birth, they'll travel to Orlando to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, including Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.)

Though they had a great time together as a trio, Aguilera is ready to welcome her mini-me. "I'm really excited to meet our baby girl," she said in June. "This has been a very easy and enjoyable pregnancy."

[NEWS] 'THE VOICE' WINS EMMY FOR 'REALITY COMPETITION SERIES, BEATING 'THE AMAZING RACE'

This is "The Voice"!

Competing against perennial favorite "The Amazing Race" -- which has won nine times of the last 10 years this category has been around -- and "Top Chef," the only show to beat "Race" in 2010, as well as "Dancing With the Stars," "Project Runway" and "So You Think You Can Dance," this might be one of the biggest upsets of the night.

"The Voice" is the newcomer to this category, getting their first Emmy nominations last year -- four total, with no wins -- but they pulled off a surprise upset tonight, winning in this main category, one of their five nominations of the year.

[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA IS AMONG THE 16 INSANELY SUCCESSFUL INTROVERTS

Christina Aguilera falls into the category ranging from 1/3 to 1/2 of the human population that is introverted in nature.

The spotlight has shone on Xtina ever since she was the tender age of 4 years old, when she would clutch her "i-ka-phone," so it is more than safe to say she is no stranger to it. The once dubbed, "little girl with the big, big voice," and at times, even bigger personality, is ironically shy behind the scenes.

Christina, herself, has identified as an introvert in the past. Not to mention, she internalizes her innermost thoughts and feelings, also, claiming her inspiration behind her recent album, Lotus, was drawn from an intimate and introspective place, the powerhouse of Pop music mentioned in several interviews leading up to its release.

Before Lotus was even thought of, in an interview with Marie Claire, from 2010, for her then up and coming album, Bionic, Gaby Wood who interviewed her wrote:
"If it weren’t for her bleach-blonde hair, I wouldn’t have recognized her, because, besides being petite, she is, it seems, shy. She tells me that she has always been 'intense and introverted' and that, as a result, she’s felt like an outsider her entire life."
Since Christina joined NBC's smash singing competition, 'The Voice,' as a celebrity coach, she has since shown us a whole new side to her that we previously had not seen before. Christina has since shared many aspects of her character including her confident, committed, competitive, compassionate, and caring spirit that has helped contribute to her insane success.

[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA RETURNS TO 'THE VOICE', REFRESHED AND REJUVENATED

The Voice prides itself on being a reality competition show devoted to discovering new talent, but it’s most noteworthy star to date has to be pop diva Christina Aguilera. This blonde bombshell took off Season 4 from the show to regroup and recharge, but now the superstar is back and looking better than ever.

Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Xtina and the rest of the coaches at the NBC summer press junket where the “Beautiful” singer was looking more trim than ever. And when she was asked about her drastic weight loss, she had a surprising secret to share.
“I know you're going to think this is total B.S. when I tell you this, but my mission in taking the time off was getting back to things that are outside of inspiring me on camera,” she said. “It was about getting back to my roots and my being a mom, spending time at home. My son lights up my life, and it's hard to go to work and be separated from him and work long hours, and that's something that these guys don't really know yet, and there's a different thing when you're a mom. It's just a little more emotional and it's hard, and I needed to be with my son for a minute.”
The typically private star even alluded to her painful divorce from Jordan Bratman, the father of her son, Max. She started The Voice less than a year after filing for divorce, ending an eight-year marriage.

“I kind of came off of 2010,” she said. “It was a little bit of a hard time in — you know, we go through rocky moments in our lives, and especially being under a microscope and I've always been a risk‑taker and whatnot.”
The diva admits that part of her reason for leaving the show was to rejuvenate a temporarily dull career.

“I just — I was a little bit bored, actually, and I needed to have a moment to re-inspire myself and reconnect,” she said. “I know it's in there because my gut is to sing from my friggin’ heart and soul. And that's what I got in this for. I wanted to gain a different perspective and find happiness with all this stuff again, and I did. I did.”

Xtina thinks that her time away will allow her to be a better coach and mentor to her contestants in Season 5.
“I'm spreading the love,” Christina continued. “I think the boys feel it. I came back. I'm like, ‘I just want to laugh with you guys and have fun.'"

[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA RETURNING TO 'THE VOICE' WITH NEW $17 MILLION DEAL?

Christina Aguilera is in line to return to NBC's The Voice, it has been claimed.

The musician has signed a deal believed to be worth around $17 million (£11.1m) and will return for season five, an insider with knowledge of negotiations told The Wrap.

Aguilera was one of the original coaches when the reality singing competition launched on the network in 2011, but left along with Cee Lo Green to promote new projects at the end of season three last winter.

Usher and Shakira joined The Voice in their places for the fourth season, which is currently underway.

If Aguilera's return is confirmed, it is not immediately clear how it would affect the current composition of the panel.

NBC did not announce any changes at its upfronts presentation for 2013-14 on Monday (May 13), and is yet to comment on the reports.

[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA REFOCUSES ON HER OWN VOICE IN 'LOTUS'

It’s been six years since Christina Aguilera made a record that would remind us why she was a perfect choice for a show called “The Voice.” For better and for worse, the NBC singing competition is what the former Mouseketeer is best known for now. Bubbling over with memorable melodies, throbbing dance grooves, and dynamic vocals, her new album, “Lotus,” is a good start in the effort to refocus attention on Aguilera’s skills and scrub our memories of 2010’s disastrous “Bionic.”

Aside from the hokey title track, it is front-loaded with goodies, including the Gloria Gaynor-meets-Depeche Mode dance of anger that is “Army of Me,” the kooky horn-and-yodel fest “Red Hot Kinda Love,” and the impossible-to-resist exhortation to “Make the World Move.” The piano ballad “Blank Page,” co-written by Aguilera, Australian singer-songwriter Sia, and Chris Braide, is among the best performances Aguilera has ever put to tape. Two of her fellow “Voice” coaches pitch in elsewhere, with Cee Lo Green helping turn up the love on “Make the World Move” and Blake Shelton helping turn down the lights on the country-inflected closer, “Just a Fool.”

There are missteps, including needless Auto-tune and a few of what sound like Rihanna or Katy Perry leftovers. And there are several tracks that sound mindlessly repetitive as sedentary listening experiences but will likely improve with the addition of a dancefloor, including the Max Martin-Shellback produced “Let There Be Love.” Welcome back, Xtina. (Out Tuesday)

[NEWS] 'THE VOICE' TOPS TUESDAY NIGHT'S RATINGS, CONTINUES TO CLIMB 13%

The really good news for NBC: The Voice is continuing its upward trend, rising 13 percent this week compared to last Tuesday’s performance. The one-hour Voice had 13.3 million viewers and a 4.5 rating among adults 18-49. After last week’s softer-than-hoped-for return of the music competition series, NBC has to be pretty thrilled that both Monday and Tuesday editions posted gains, gathering strength before next week’s deluge of premieres.

[NEWS] CARSON DALY SPEAKS OUT ABOUT 'THE VOICE' VS. 'X FACTOR' & SHUTS DOWN SIMON

If you’ve been keeping tabs on Simon Cowell lately, then you’re aware he’s none too pleased with The Voice.

The singing competition, hosted by 97.1 AMP/Los Angeles’ very own Carson Daly, decided to extend its premiere week to 3 days, which means it overlapped with last night’s premiere of the revamped X Factor.

Cowell has gone on an all-out media blitz to voice his frustration, telling TMZ, “This is a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business…Britney’s not going to appreciate the fact that Christina, who has been a bit of a rival, isn’t allowing Britney to have a night of her own.”

For the most part, The Voice has chosen to stay out of the fray, but Carson felt the need to address the elephant in the room on his radio show Thursday morning.

“I wanted to watch X Factor last night. I think you can’t deny that there was some buzz on this show…I was very curious to see how my old friend Britney Spears was….what she was going to be like and when she speaks in full sentences, was it going to seem sort of medicated or was she going to spring a new personality that I haven’t seen?”

[NEWS] 'THE VOICE' TOPS MONDAY NIGHT'S RATINGS, CLIMBS 10% & SCORES BEST NUMBERS

On NBC, The Voice scored a 4.6 adults 18-49 rating, up 10% from a 4.2 for last week's premiere on Monday and scoring its best numbers since Monday, March 19, 2011.

[NEWS] USHER & SHAKIRA SWAP PLACES WITH CEE LO GREEN & CHRISTINA AGUILERA FOR SEASON 4

The Voice is shaking up its judges panel.

The NBC reality hit has hired R&B singer Usher and Latin singer Shakira as “coaches” for the upcoming spring edition of the series. They’ll replace Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, who are expected to return to the show next fall. The new additions are part of a plan by NBC and producers to develop an ongoing tent of talent for The Voice that can be mixed and matched as needed. Given the judges’ level of success and tour schedules, it’s difficult to have any of them appear on the show all season now that NBC has decided to run the series in the fall and spring.

“Having award-winning artists as coaches means they need to be able to tour,” said executive producer Mark Burnett. “Whether in the red chair or on tour, our coaches have their chairs for life. This is exactly why, after three seasons, we needed to allow them to rotate out so they can get on the road amongst their fans. Meanwhile, we’re incredibly excited to have singular artists like Usher and Shakira joining the fold.”

Aguilera is releasing a new album and going on tour. CeeLo is developing new music plus working on a scripted comedy series for NBC based on his life. Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will continue on The Voice this spring (and you make your own snarky assumptions about that). The Voice recently returned for its third season and though its ratings were down from previous seasons, it still managed to outshine the Britney-fueled second season premiere of Fox’s The X Factor.
