X-MEN star Alan Cumming is set to play a crooning nightclub bouncer in a raunchy new movie with Cher and Christina Aguilera. Cumming, 45, is teaming up with the chart-toppers for a new version of hit musical Cabaret.
And the actor, from Dunkeld, Perthshire, is "very excited" about his role in Burlesque.
Cumming said: "I go to LA this week to start shooting my role. I have already recorded one of the songs.
"I play Alexis, the doorman of the burlesque club run by Cher, and where Christina Aguilera becomes the star turn.
"It's been reported that he is similar to the Emcee in Cabaret.That isn't really the case but he's still fun."
Cumming previously starred in Cabaret on Broadway.
