There's been some pretty dramatic build up to the official release of the Maroon 5 video "Moves Like Jagger," featuring Christina Aguilera. There's been a preview clip, video stills, and as co-judges on "The Voice," Maroon 5 and Christina performed their song live. Some felt the song was a bit too poppy for rockers Maroon 5 and a bit too rocky for R&B queen Christina, but after seeing the video in full, "Moves Like Jagger" is actually the perfect blend of pop, rock, R&B... and some weird-ass dance moves.
In the Jonas Akerlund-directed clip, a gratuitously shirtless Adam Levine (THANK YOU!!) is surrounded by a bunch of Mick Jagger posers doing their best Mick dance moves in front of the camera. But then the video takes an interesting turn as it features some incredible archival footage of a young Mick Jagger talking about his career and his band.
Next, Christina Aguilera enters the scene wearing a big hat ('cause, obviously) and a fitted white dress. Christina isn't really moving like Jagger (she's dancing pretty normally), but why would she need to? She can basically outsing everyone on the planet. No special dance moves necessary.
At the end of the video, we see Christina and Adam gazing at one another and totally loving their new jam. While the Aguilera/Levine love fest is pretty convincing, we have no doubt they'll be back to bickering once the second season of "The Voice" is back on the air.
