Irving Azoff, the longtime manager of the Eagles band, is resigning as chairman of concert promoter Live Nation Entertainment Inc. and selling off 1.7 million shares to Liberty Media Corp.
Azoff, 65, will continue to manage the acts that he brought to the company, including the Eagles and Christina Aguilera. Live Nation said in a statement it did not expect Azoff's departure or the restructuring to have a material impact on its operating results. Update: Billboard has tallied up all sales and downloads for 'Lotus' and 'Bionic'
Aguilera is mainly TV draw these days. She reportedly is making $10 million this season on "The Voice." Aguilera's latest album, "Lotus," was released on November 13 and has sold 182,000 units and 687,000 tracks, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Her previous release, the 2010 album "Bionic," has sold 314,000 units and 1.15 million tracks to date. Aguilera has been an infrequent touring artist in recent years. Her "Back to Basics" tour in 2006-2007 grossed $48.2 million, according to Billboard Boxscore. Her 2010 "Bionic" tour was cut short in part due to poor ticket sales. (Source)
#Lotus didn't do that well, so I doubt she would do a tour. Probably not a US tour
ReplyDeleteChristina needs to hire back her first manager. With him she made millions was a huge star and sold more than 20 million units of her first album. Something she hasn't been able to do with any of her albums since. Each album has only sold 4 million units. Yet britney who can't sing can't dance sells 10+ million of each album because of who her manager is.

She needs ppl to start talking about her in a good way.. the problem with xtina is her attitude she's not very likeable because she acts like royalty and comes off like a snob... She needs to stop trying to recreate stripped... If she really wanted to inspire people she could make music and upload onto YouTube for free I know she ain't going to make any money on it but atleast to keep herself afloat... With every record after b2b she always releases the racy sex pumped single then throws in the next so called beautiful that only worked for stripped xtina come up with a new strategy... She always fails to promote her shit she doesn't like interacting with her fans I understand that lady gags and rihanna don't have vocals like xtina yet they still selling more why because they interact with there fan bases and the only shit we get is here's my single buy it... Vocally b2b was her best album lyrically it would have to be stripped... its sad to say but the voice couldn't even give her a career revival... Lotus to be honest sounds like a bunch of leftover songs that people didnt want the sound is awful... She needs something mainstream if she's going to continue to give us records otherwise I think she'll probobly be gettig dropped.. and her Collabs, I understand she's so selective but you would think shed be smart enough to associate herself with some big names instead of straying away from them and trying to take credit in upbringing some of these people with smaller names she's a joke ppl barely know who she is and her stylist seriously needs to get fired she fucking comes of as a drag queen at times like cmon bitch your a sexy woman strut your shit on point I feel like I've been seing xtina strut the same style year after year what happened to the chameleon she used to be and this brings me back to lotus it sounds like a bunch of unfinished songs from bionic no effort I really hope her next album is a game changer cause I do love xtina but at the pace she's going if she ain't going to try then might as well not even buy.. and I know someone is going to call me a hater and say she still richer than me that is true but I ain't no broke joke either... Just a fan that truly adored old school xtina and this generation that now knows her and don't know what she's done for music is because she likes to take 4 year breaks in between her music to bad that didn't work for bionic and I guess the excuse for lotus bombing is that it was rushed right... Too bad Britney never had this problem....

Im so over Xtina at this point i never thought i was going to say that but i just feel that she has neglected us her FANS her apperance but more importantly her CAREER. She has released an "ALBUM" that has had NO PROPER PROMOTION. Wait......let me refrease that, it has had NO PROMOTION AT ALL. I dont know why she even decided to leave the voice next season we all know she wont go on tour let alone revive LOTUS........

I really relate to what you said about feeling that she has neglected us fans, I feel like that too! I mean I've supported her for so long through thick and thin and deep down I wonder does she even know or care about that? She must know by now what us fans concerns are she can be delusionally thinking that this no promotion and no effort album is enough for us.

ReplyDeleteI've been a fan since "Mi Reflejo" her Spanish album. When she first came out i was not impressed, i thought of her as another pop blond that was all superficial and no talent, but her Spanish album proved her true talent. She released "Stripped" and she blew me and everyone way! it showed her talent her artistry her creativity her power. She released "Back to Basics" and she once again showed her strength, diversity, and she stood out and away from the crowed. Her Greatest hits was a celebration and all her fans were ecstatic and happy for her accomplishments and we celebrated her gift of music to us. Bionic was released and it was an amazing album but that was the Lady Gaga era and everyone and everything was compared to her and the media destroyed the Bionic album but it was still an era that left us yearning for more. My point is this, google her during these eras and you will see that there was a fire in her eyes, there was strength and power to be reckon with. I don't know what it is? maybe her divorce hurt her more then we know, or being a mother is her main focus or she's just over it, either way as a fan that has protected her and stood up for her, maybe I'm a nobody I'm just a fan with 50 followers on twitter and I work a desk job but how ever I can I'm always there. Lotus has been released and it's almost like a slap in the face maybe it's not her and its RCA Records but in the end there has been NO promotion, nada, zip and at this point it's another flop and a joke. Her weight I'm so sick of everyone talking about her dam weight and how it doesn't matter well guess what we are not as excepting as we think we are and it is a natural instinct to like attractive things. If you want to prove me wrong next time you go out don't get dressed up go out in your pajamas, I mean it's what's inside right not what you look like... It's bull. Ask a 5 year old girl to choose between skinny Barbie and fat Barbie, believe me skinny Barbie will be sold out. She needs to lose the wight, she needs new marketing people, new management, and all her Yes people around her, meaning that some times you need people to say NO Bitch you are not wearing that and NO that single is not being released and NO the album is not being released till we and you are ready to truly promote and give it your all. Above all connect with your fans. You see any other artist Britney, Rihanna,Lady Gaga, Pink, Beyonce, Madonna, Katy Perry, and so on, there's a connection. I'm a fan and will continue being one till my dieing breath but it's hard to reach and grab something that's not there. A lotus doesn't rise up, you need someone to pick it up and raise it to the top
